Chief Richard Lyman (Kyoshi) in blue and another excellent competitor in red. I’m sorry I don’t have his name! This is excellence at its best. If your even training when you in your 60’s it’s a blessing. But when you maintain focus and technique like this , it’s no mistake. This was one of the most exciting fights of the day with both men being injured but continuing to complete their fight. Kyoshi Lyman won the battle. Kyoshi Lyman is a member and one of the leaders of the AMERICAN HERITAGE GOJU DOJO, USA GOJU. Kyoshi Lyman and his opponent are the featured photo on the Martial Arts page of the 2015 WORLD POLICE AND FIRE GAMES. What a great contribution to the DOJO. Kyoshi Lyman has been this consistent and exemplar for more then 35 years. Thank you Kyoshi Lyman.
NYC Police officer (Renshi) Orlando Cabrera’s Dojo is the Gokushin Dojo where he teaches Yoshindo Goju Ryu Karate-Do His GM is GM Anthony Lau with roots in USA GOJU. His fighting during the competition was intense and serious which you would expect from a man who has dedicated his life to hard and honest training. Competition is nothing new to him and it shows in his fearless fighting ability. He’s fought against the best for many years!
Some great photos! Thank you, from AMERICAN HERITAGE GOJU KARATE-DO, USA GOJU.
